Racing has always been in our blood, so sharing that passion together felt like a natural next step.

Derek Sr. and his son Daren have teamed up to launch DKR—a business designed to introduce children to karting in an accessible, affordable way.

Our mission is to spark a love for racing without placing an unnecessary financial burden on families.

Kart prices can range anywhere from $2,000 to $12,000 depending on preferences, but DKR offers flexible packages and entry-level programs. This ensures that if a participant decides the sport isn’t for them, families aren’t left with a major financial loss.

We also provide a complete safety kit—including a fire suit, helmet, rib protector, and neck collar—equipment that alone can cost up to $10,000. By bundling everything together, we make the first step into racing far more attainable.

While motorsports can be expensive, they offer an incredible opportunity for family bonding. And today, it’s not just fathers and sons—more and more girls are discovering the excitement and confidence that come with racing too.
